Although people are very familiar with the flavours of Chinese Singaporean food, many are unaware of the hidden histories of these dishes and how they shape the Chinese Singaporean identity. In this travelling exhibition, we created a food detective experience where visitors uncover the true secret ingredients that shaped these dishes (Chinese Heritage, Cultural Interaction, Public Policies, and Local Adaptations) across thematic ‘crime scenes’.

Through a web app, visitors punch in the secret ingredient code for each dish to complete their mission and unlock discounts for Chinese Singaporean dishes in the vicinity.
