Spark The Next Youth Hangout
Client: Tribal Worldwide Singapore x MCCY
THE BRIEF
We were tasked to co-design and build a roving roadshow in-lieu of MCCY’s Spark the Next programme.
As part of the SG Youth Action Plan, youths now have a platform to lend their voices to issues that matter, and shape the Singapore they want to see.
The roadshow featured 3 key installations highlighting the five values of sustainability, inclusiveness, care, progress and fairness.
What We Did
- Experience Design
- Digital Integration
- Event Management
- Prop Fabrication
- Carpentry & Fabrications
"ROOM FOR CHANGE”
An open-concept living space with interactive panels, the Room For Change installation focused on the value of sustainability.
Youths received interesting bite-sized tips on how to lead an eco-conscious life and reduce electronic waste, fashion waste and plastic waste.
"THE INVISIBLE GALLERY”
The Invisible Gallery installation invited passersby to walk up towards seemingly empty canvases.
Upon close proximity, the canvases reveal the stories of youths and their unseen struggles.
“YOUTHS-LIKE-US"
The Youths-Like-Us installation featured life-sized statues of well-known Singaporeans in their younger days, who overcame their obstacles to achieve success in their own fields.
These personalities include artiste Michelle Chong, football coach Fandi Ahmad, chef Lennard Yeong and actress Eswari Gunasagar.
Sitting before the statue, triggers a message from the personalities themselves with a message for youths to pursue their own definition of success.
