Putting the magic of art in the hands of children at National Gallery Singapore

In this phygital art experience, Raden Saleh, one of Indonesia's most celebrated 19th-century artists, returns to the 21st century in A Brush with Forest Fire to take children on a journey behind his masterpiece Boschbrand (Forest Fire).

With a magic paintbrush, every child embarks on this journey as a little artist. The gallery becomes a canvas where children influence the world around them by tracing, drawing, colouring and exploring with their brush.

with a paintbrush in hand, the gallery becomes a canvas and the child, an artist.

A magic paintbrush needs an equally magical canvas

At the end of the journey, children are invited to put it all together and create their very own masterpiece. Borrowing the form of the classic easel, we transformed the surface into a digital canvas where they can paint and create to their hearts content.
